Spring Wind-up - a success! Thanks to all for coming out to the event Cheers to Spring 2010! It was a great event for the members of Winnipeg's Business Analyst community, to socialize and reflect on what was a successful year for the IIBA's Winnipeg Chapter. Free appetizers and drinks were shared, there were some excellent prize give aways for attending, and great company was shared as well. Please keep us in mind as you enjoy your summer, and the great weather (fingers crossed). Watch for an email update in the future as we will be hosting some great events this fall, including our traditional speaking events, as well as a full day workshop with the dates and topics to be determined. Chapter Meeting - May 5th Building and Growing Strategic Business RelationshipsThe event was a great success and the IIBA Winnipeg would like to thank Cec Hanec from Cec Hanek & Associates, Inc. for speaking on the topic of Building and Growing Strategic Business Relationships. Held on Wednesday, May 5th from 4:15 to 6:30 PM at the Fairmont Hotel, 2 Lombard Avenue, it was an excellent and useful presentation for all of our attendees. IIBA Winnipeg Chapter Board of Directors Elections Update2010 - 2012 Term The IIBA Winnipeg Chapter recently held election nominations for the 2010 - 2012 board. As the number of applicants matched the number of open positions, there was no need to conduct a vote on any position. The 2010 - 2012 board contains a mix of both veteran board members as well as a number of individuals new to the board. In March, the board will conduct a strategic planning session that will determine the direction of the IIBA Winnipeg Chapter for the 2010 - 2012 term. If there is anything that you would like to see happen at the local chapter level, please contact the appropriate board member and let your voice be heard.
